                ALL CLASSES CONDUCTED AT CHAMPION STUDIOS
 257 West 39th Street, 14th floor, (between 7th and 8th avenues)

 (ALL NEW STUDENTS TO THE SCHOOL AND OR TO THE STYLE, WISHING TO TAKE OUR GROUP CLASSES WILL NEED TO TAKE THE INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP PRIOR TO TAKING ANY OTHER CLASS.DANCERS WHO HAVE WORKED IN THIS STYLE, NEW TO DAKSHINA, WILL NEED TO TAKE A PLACEMENT CLASS.)

 Students will be drilled in the basic adavus (basic dance unit)in  three speeds,learn Asamyuta and Samyuta Hastas (Hand gestures),  Neck,eyes and standing Bedhas (gestures)as well as class etiquette.
Dress Code: Ladies should wear indian pajama with a blouse or a short kurta (hip length not below the hips)or dance sari with choli and pajama,traditional red poutu/bindi should be worn.Hair should be tied back neatly. Men- pajama kurta or pajama with tee shirt.
NO TANK TOPS, SHORTS, TIGHTS SHOULD BE WORN IN CLASS.

Dakshina's classes are designed for students who are serious minded and wish to learn beyond the basics are encourage to enroll in this workshop structured class.(Class Card purchase required of 4 classes - 10 classes, NO SINGLE CLASS ALLOWED )Students must maintain satisfactory attendance and class performance to continue in our classes.
